Charlize Theron Beats Up Michael Fassbender Backstage At Movie Awards

'Snow White and the Hunstman' star is caught elbowing her 'Prometheus' co-star before presenting the award for Best Fight.

Charlize Theron certainly had a lot to celebrate Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards. Not only did "Snow White and the Huntsman" [article id="1686480"]top the weekend box office[/article], but Theron also got to rough up Michael Fassbender behind the scenes and have some one-on-one time with the sexy stars of "Magic Mike."

Theron kicked off the night posing for the paparazzi on the red carpet in a stunning red-hot peplum Lanvin dress paired with a simple, yet elegant hairstyle. When MTV News style correspondent Kat Graham caught up with Theron, the actress said that when dressing for an awards show, comfort is key.

"I think you have to kind of not try to be trendy and just really do what feels comfortable because, there's nothing worse someone wearing something because someone told them to wear it and they feel uncomfortable in it," Theron said. "I feel really fortunate that I work with really talented people in the industry, so there's always amazing stuff, but at the end of the day, I have to be able to put it on and feel like me."

Once Theron completed her dazzling walk down the red carpet, she took a seat next to her "Prometheus" co-star Fassbender, who was a target for Russell Brand's opening monologue. But she didn't stay in her seat for long. Our all-access cameras caught Theron making her way backstage to chat up "Magic Mike" stars [article id="1686294"]Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey[/article] and snap a picture with Joe Manganiello, who was dressed up in his firefighter stripper outfit.

Theron and Fassbender were then caught rehearsing the routine for their "Best Fight" presentation. Theron is seen pretending to elbow Fassbender in the back as he falls to the floor, and onstage we find out why. In front of the crowd, Fassbender insists that due to his manliness and Irish heritage he felt he could handle the duties of presenting the award himself. Theron was not too pleased about that, and knocked him to the floor before taking over the presenter duties to hand out the Golden Popcorn to [article id="1686413"]"Hunger Games" stars Josh Hutcherson[/article] and Alexander Ludwig.

Jaw-dropping, heart-pounding, gut-busting moments galore. See what went down at the 21st annual MTV Movie Awards!
