‘Breaking Dawn’ Wedding ‘Emotional’ For Kristen Stewart

'You stand there in a suit, and then everyone is looking at the girl,' Robert Pattinson chimes in during 'MTV First: Breaking Dawn.'

Forget the fanfare surrounding the royal wedding or even Kim Kardashian’s now-infamous nuptials: For “Twilight” fans, the wedding of the year (possibly the century) is undoubtedly that of Isabella Marie Swan and Edward Anthony Masen Cullen in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.”

Here at MTV News, we’ve been gearing up for the big day with a few very special exclusives. On Thursday, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner introduced a never-before-seen clip from the movie and stuck around for a lengthy Q&A after the clip’s debut — the main action of which revolved around Bella’s prep for her wedding.

When asked to describe the mood on set during the filming of Bella and Edward’s big day, Stewart admitted that she was surprised by how much it affected her.

“It was very, very emotional for me,” Stewart said. “I don’t know about these guys.”

“You kind of realize what the groom’s position in a wedding is,” Pattinson jumped in. “Which, in reality, is basically a prop. You stand there in a suit, and then everyone is looking at the girl.”

Speaking of the girl, Pattinson has told us previously that his co-star stole the show during the filming of that particular scene, and the rest of the cast seemed to feel something special in the air as well.

“[Kristen] looked amazing,” Pattinson told us of seeing Stewart in Bella’s wedding dress. “I really didn’t do anything much but just stand there.”

“[The wedding scene was] beautiful and spectacular,” Peter Facinelli has said . “It’s funny, because whenever we have a big important scene on ‘Twilight’ [movies], it rains. I was doing the baseball sequence [from 'Twilight'], and it was raining. But you never see it on film,” he said of the crew’s movie magic. “With this wedding, it rained the whole time we shot the two scenes. But you’ll never see it on film; they block out the rain. They put tarps up, and you’ll never see it. But for us, it was very wet and muddy and cold.”

“When I see this onscreen, it is going to feel epic,” Nikki Reed told us back in July.

“There were really beautiful elements to it,” Ashley Greene added. “Like, if you took out the fact that it was so cold and just looked at it like a picture, it was picture-perfect.”
