'Dancing With The Stars' Results: Romeo Fails To Romance Voters

Injured Ralph Macchio survives another week, despite low score.

The Karate Kid gets to dance another day. On Tuesday night's elimination show of "Dancing With the Stars," Ralph Macchio, who was Monday's lowest scorer, was spared. That was a big moment, considering that the 49-year-old actor danced on Monday night with a ruptured cyst behind his knee.

Macchio earned a total of 46 points out of 60 — but also a standing ovation — for his rehearsed Viennese waltz and his improvised cha cha. "With the circumstances," judge Bruno Tonioli told him then, "you did very well to cope with it, let alone doing it."

So who was sent home? It was young Romeo who was shown the door.

On Monday night, he and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, danced the tango and the salsa, and the judges cited them for having a few missteps. But head judge Len Goodman also told them, "Last week, I said you had to up your game, and that's just what you've done."

Romeo appeared to be a bit shocked when his name was called.

"I'm surprised because I did my best dances, but at the same time I'm not surprised. This show has changed my life forever. I didn't dance at my own prom," he said. "I've turned down a lot of movies because I was afraid to dance."

Romeo talked up Hightower, saying, "I wanted to do this for you. We can dance after this."

Hightower smiled, and told him, "I'm super happy and so proud of you."
