Wale Ready To Release Two Albums This Year

'I told Warner Bros. I'm not opposed to droppin' two albums in 2011 or two in 2012,' Wale tells MTV News.

Wale's ready to make up for lost time. A year and a half after releasing his [article id="1625979"]debut album, Attention Deficit,[/article] on Interscope, the D.C. MC is prepared to put out two albums this year if his new label will let him.

"It's done. I mean, I'm just making songs," Wale told MTV News of his upcoming sophomore album -- which will come out on Miami rap don Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group imprint -- while on the set of his "600 Benz" video.

While he wouldn't dish on the album's title or release date, the MMG signee was already hinting at a third release, as well. "I told [Maybach distributor] Warner Bros. I'm not opposed to droppin' two albums in 2011 or two in 2012," Wale revealed. "If they allow me to and they ready for it, I'll do it."

Ross confirmed that after he drops his [article id="1659745"]Self Made compilation[/article] later this month, Wale would be the next artist on the Maybach roster to release an LP. When describing his second album, the Mark Ronson protégé spoke of the growth that he's exhibited since Attention Deficit.

"It's a lot of drive, it's a lot of hunger, it's a lot of the things that I wasn't good at explaining the first time around," Wale said. "The messages are getting' across a lot cleaner, so I'm very, very proud of the music I've been putting out for this new project."
