Liam Neeson Calls 'Hangover 2' Shoot 'Intense'

Actor says Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms 'reinvent the Three Stooges in a very funny way.'

Late last year, the rumor mill surrounding "Hangover 2" was churning out so many casting whispers and plot speculation that it was hard to keep track of what was real and what wasn't. Director Todd Phillips and his tight-lipped castmembers have occasionally offered commentary on all the rumored cameos, but until the film is released, it's up to us to keep up the detective work.

Speaking of which, we didn't have to do too much digging to get confirmed guest star Liam Neeson to spill a few details. When MTV News caught up with Neeson while he promoted his upcoming thriller "Unknown," we asked him about his time in Thailand, since we know a sizable chunk of the film is set in Bangkok.

"Didn't make [it to] Thailand," Neeson revealed. "I made [it to] Warner Bros.' studio. ... They built a set, which could've been in Thailand."

We then asked if Neeson enjoyed the change of pace and had fun playing a lighter role in a comedy.

"Oh, it was [fun], it was," he said. "It was pretty intense. I was only there for one day — a Sunday, as far as I remember. But it was good to be with Bradley Cooper — he's a buddy — and the other two gentlemen, I'd never met them before, but I love what they do," he said of co-stars Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis. "The three of them are just, they reinvent the Three Stooges in a very funny way."

Neeson went on to say that he's been told that the sequel is going to be better than the first one and confirmed that he is, in fact, a tattoo artist in the film. "I play an Irish tattooist, strangely enough, living in Bangkok. At least I made him Irish," he said.

So we can safely assume that one of the three guys gets a crazy tattoo then?

"Well, I do. I get covered in tattoos," Neeson said. "Shamrocks, 'I love Ireland,' all stamped all over me."
