Russell Brand To Host, Chris Brown To Perform On 'SNL'

Both men make their 'Saturday Night Live' debuts on February 12 episode.

Russell Brand and [artist id="1961441"]Chris Brown[/artist] are set to make their "Saturday Night Live" debuts on the February 12 episode.

Brand, who married pop star (and [article id="1648721"]season-opening "SNL" performer[/article]) Katy Perry last year, is making the rounds to promote two upcoming films: "Hop," due April 1, and a remake of 1981's "Arthur" alongside Helen Mirren, which hits theaters April 8.

In between Brand's skits, Chris Brown will likely perform songs from his [article id="1657068"]upcoming F.A.M.E. album[/article], which drops March 22. There's no word yet whether Brown will participate in any skits or digital shorts.

"Saturday Night Live" has rounded up some star-studded guests in recent months. Just last week, the late-night show scored big ratings with their headline-making Jessie Eisenberg and Nicki Minaj episode. [article id="1656913"]Minaj participated in the "Creep" digital short[/article] with Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island cohorts and also played the Bride of Blackenstein in a blaxploitation spoof.

The latest show — which also saw the first meeting between [article id="1656914"]Eisenberg and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg[/article] — averaged a 3.2 rating with adults 18-49 in 25 markets, earning the show its second-highest ratings of the season.
