Rihanna Says EMA Show Is A Chance To Discover New Music

'Loud' singer reveals she'll perform 'Only Girl in the World' on Sunday's 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards.

On Sunday, everyone from [article id="1648210"]Justin Bieber to Katy Perry[/article] will be taking over Madrid for the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards, which will be hosted by "Desperate Housewives" star [article id="1649584"]Eva Longoria[/article]. And if that doesn't sound muy caliente enough for you, Loud singer Rihanna will be taking the stage at the big show.

"I'm performing 'Only Girl in the World,' " she told MTV News.

"The EMAs are fun! ... I performed 'SOS' a few years ago, and I just remember how exciting it was to be there and have all these different artists from all over the world and Europe come together."

For those who aren't familiar with the European music scene, Rihanna says the EMAs are a great way to learn all about it.

"In America, you have a better sense of all the music that's happening right now," she explained. "And every time I go to Europe, and especially go to an awards show in Europe, you just see all these different acts, all these different artists you probably never even heard of, all these incredible songs that you would have never known about unless you travel there. It's just exciting to see the diversity in the culture of music between America and Europe. It's really cool."

Lady Gaga and Perry lead the pack with five nominations each. They'll go head-to-head in four categories: Best Pop Act, Best Song, Best Female Act and Best Video.

Gaga is also up for Best Live Act, while former EMA host Perry is nominated for Best World Stage performance as well. Perry and Rihanna will perform on the show, as will fellow nominees Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, Kid Rock and Ke$ha.

The 2010 EMAs will air on MTV2 on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
