[artist id="1940303"]Rihanna[/artist] will debut her "Only Girl (In the World)" video Wednesday night (October 13) on MTV at 7:56 p.m. ET, right before "The Buried Life." The clip, directed by longtime collaborator Anthony Mandler (Jay-Z, Drake, Mary J. Blige), accompanies the first offering from the singer's forthcoming album, Loud.
A flame-haired Rihanna dances throughout the clip, first in a scene set against a hilltop as she sports trim white shorts and a matching tank top and headband. Later, the "So Hard" singer lies in a bed of flowers as she belts out the pulsating tune.
"Want you to make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world/ Like I'm the only one you'll ever love/ Like I'm the only one that knows your heart," she sings.
"Only Girl" is #8 on Billboard's Hot 100. Rihanna's Loud is due next month and features collaborations with Drake and Nicki Minaj.
The singer opened up about working with the pair in recent interviews, praising Nicki Minaj during a radio appearance and calling her a star.
"I'm really amazed that she can write like that. [Nicki] not only raps, but she can write songs too," Rihanna explained. "It was really easy, actually. We were going back and forth with the texts on how we were going to get to do it, because we were in two different places and had two opposite schedules."
Rihanna singled out former flame Drake for his work on the remix of "What's My Name," saying Drizzy was the only person for the track.
"Drake is the hottest rapper out right now, and we've always been trying to work together," she told Billboard. "He's the only person I thought could really understand the melody of the song, and the minute he heard it, he said, 'I know exactly what I'm going to do. I love it.' And he did it, like, three days later."
