[artist id=”1961441″]Chris Brown[/artist] won over our hearts and wedding entrances with his feel-good hit “Forever.” And it looks like the singer may be interested in re-creating that magic with his new song “Yeah 3X.” A snippet of the track, which premiered Wednesday morning (September 15) on San Francisco radio station WiLD 94.9, finds Brown venturing away from his urban roots (“Deuces” ) and onto the dance floor.
Over an electrifying, video game-type beat, Chris’ vocals soar atop the bouncy track as he proclaims his feelings for his lover. In what sounds like it could be an energetic little sister to “Forever,” he sings, “In the moment, can’t believe/ You’re so beautiful/ Feels like I’m in a dream/ Baby, we’re goin’ somewhere you’ve never been before/ So take my hand and come with me/ Don’t feel out of place ’cause I’m in love with this feeling.”
No word on whether the song will appear on his next album, but the singer posted a line from the lyrics on Twitter on Wednesday and tweeted, “i hope you liked the record everyone who heard it and thx for your support.”
But the entertainer isn’t just interested in feature cameos, he’s steadily at work on the follow-up to 2009’s Graffiti. RapUpTV recently caught up with “Deuces” producer Kevin McCall, who said that the Virginia native may be heading in a new direction with his next LP.
McCall revealed the titles of two new tracks, “Another You” and “Rest of My Life.” “We’re going to keep working on new stuff from here. That kid’s got a lot of records so it’s tough picking out cuts. It’s really new right now. The song ’Another You’ is country. It’s like Hootie and the Blowfish, so it should be something different, something new and fresh.”
Fans may also be hearing another new song from the 21-year-old sometime soon. Brown has hyped up a Polow Da Don-produced track called “Calypso” on Twitter, saying, “this is a song that women have been missing from ME!!”
