Past MTV Video Music Awards shows have been the source of a love connection for at least one VMA host — Russell Brand first got together with fiancée Katy Perry at the VMAs — and Chelsea Handler is hoping that lightning strikes twice when she takes the stage this Sunday, September 12, in Los Angeles. Handler is keen on hooking up with none other than Eminem once the curtain drops and the last Moonman is handed out.
"I'll probably have sex with him after the show is over," Handler told MTV News' Jim Cantiello. "Probably. I don't see why I wouldn't."
Given the list of hip-hop stars who will be attending the big show on Sunday (including Drake, B.o.B and a host of others), Handler was also open to the idea of Alicia Keys' husband. "I like Swizz Beatz, just because I would like to yell out in bed, 'Swizz Beatz! Keep it coming!' " she said.
Though she seemed lukewarm about the idea of seducing one of the more high-profile guests from the rap world ("Not Kanye," she said. "Not if he's going to wear those glasses"), she's open to just about anything. "Anybody, really," she admitted to Cantiello. "I'm fair game. It's not like I'm that picky. You've seen the guys I've dated."
Whether or not Handler can find herself a hot date, you can bet that she'll be skewering the batch of big-name celebrities at the show, including former object of affection Justin Bieber and the cast of "Jersey Shore."
The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. The party starts with MTV News' VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET.
