"Deuces," produced by and featuring Kevin McCall, marks Brown's first time back on top of a Billboard chart since 2006. Previously, Brown scored big on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart with his debut single "Run It!" and "Say Goodbye."

His last proper effort, Graffiti, spawned the breakout numbers "I Can Transform Ya" and "Crawl," but the album failed to match the commercial success of his previous solo offerings. Brown worked Fan of a Fan like an album, releasing accompanying videos as well.

The Virginia star also is basking in the success of "Takers," the ensemble casted film starring Brown, Idris Elba, Paul Walker and T.I., that is currently resting atop the box office draw.

The embattled star has been working hard to regain the public's support after he assaulted his former girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Earlier this summer, he earned rave reviews for his Michael Jackson tribute during the 2010 BET Awards. Brown performed the late singer's "Man in the Mirror" and broke down onstage.

Last month Brown visited the Beverly Hills judge overseeing his assault case and was complimented on his progress in probation, which includes community labor work and therapy sessions.
