Though Lindsay Lohan just completed a stint behind bars and has now been hustled off for an in-patient stay in a drug rehab facility, the 24-year-old actress is busy laying the groundwork for a comeback attempt.
Before she headed to Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles, Lohan posed scantily clad for a series of photos as part of a publicity effort for "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story," a planned biopic about the '70s-era porn star. The photos capture Lohan, seemingly in a motel room, clad in lingerie and at times lounging on a bed and surrounded by men.
In two black-and-white photos, she intensely examines her own reflection in a mirror. In one color pic, the men appear to be in the process of unbuckling their pants as Lohan looks vacantly at the camera. Photographer Tyler Shields shot the newly released photos, as well an "Inferno" poster that popped up online earlier this year.
With Lohan currently checked into the UCLA Medical Center rehab facility for a court-ordered 90-day stay, it's unclear when "Inferno" might actually shift into production. Last month, "Inferno" director Matthew Wilder told MTV News that he remains committed to Lohan.
"I am 100% behind Lindsay and can say the same for everyone involved in the production of 'Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story,' " he said. "Indeed, we are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film. And as for the haters relishing this moment, I can only quote Jesus in 'The Last Temptation of Christ': 'And those who are laughing now ... will be crying after.' "
