Daniel Radcliffe's 'How To Succeed' Hits Broadway In February

'Harry Potter' star's first musical will begin previews February 26, 2011.

[article id="1641985"]Daniel Radcliffe exited Hogwarts[/article] for the last time in the spring, when he wrapped production on the final installment in the "Harry Potter" franchise. And after a brief, nostalgic trip to the [article id="1641953"]Wizarding World of Harry Potter[/article] in Universal Studios Orlando, the 20-year-old actor is solidifying plans to land on Broadway with a musical comedy.

[article id="1637158"]"How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,"[/article] in which Radcliffe stars, is set to begin previews on February 26 at the Al Hirschfeld Theater and will open on March 27, Variety reports.

Based on Shepherd Mead's 1952 book of the same name, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" first bowed on Broadway in 1961 and led to a 1967 film starring much of the original cast. The play follows J. Pierrepont Finch, a young New York City window washer who climbs the ranks at World Wide Wickets Company -- until his own brazen business ideas threaten to become his downfall. Matthew Broderick and Megan Mullally starred in a successful 1995 revival of the musical.

"How to Succeed" will mark Radcliffe's second foray on Broadway, following his turn in [article id="1595806"]"Equus" in 2008[/article], in which he smoked, swore, watched porn and famously stood naked onstage.

While Radcliffe continues to make inroads in the theatrical world, he's also lining up his next film project. He's set to [article id="1642156"]star in "All Quiet on the Western Front"[/article] as a young German soldier who is sent with his friends to fight in the trenches during World War I. Shooting is expected to begin in 2012, after Radcliffe finishes with his theater commitments in 2011.
