Orlando Bloom and his longtime girlfriend, model Miranda Kerr, are engaged, a rep for the actor confirmed to "Entertainment Tonight."
There are no other details about when the pair, who have been dating for nearly three years, will walk down the aisle.
Bloom and Kerr have remained tightlipped about their relationship since they first started dating in 2007. "The problem is, every time someone interviews me, they ask me about him," the Victoria's Secret model told Page Six magazine in 2008. "Everyone asks me to talk about him, and they get really annoyed with me when I say no, but if you want to know about him, why don't you go and ask him? I'm sorry, but that's just how it is."
In the same interview, Kerr opened up about starting a family and eventually leaving her jet-setting lifestyle behind to settle down. "I've always wanted kids, so ... someday ... eventually, yes, it will happen," she said. "My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch. When this is all over, that's where I'll be."
Bloom has been equally press-shy when it comes to his now-fiancée. "Miranda and I spend so much time apart; she's working hard, I'm working hard, so we have to grab time together whenever we can," he told reporters in Morocco last year, according to Us Weekly. "A weekend here, a weekend there ... we are just enjoying our time together now."
