Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green confirmed that they were engaged earlier this week, and while it's not the pair's first engagement, Fox admits that she doesn't think of this newer engagement as take two.
"[It's] really not a re-engagement ... nothing is different," Fox told UsWeekly.com at Thursday's "Jonah Hex" premiere in Los Angeles, where the film's female lead sported a sexy red dress, but no engagement ring. The couple reportedly lost the two-carat ring mere hours after getting engaged in Hawaii on June 1.
Fox, 24, has already been with Green, 36, for six years, and she admits that she's in no rush to walk down the aisle. "It's going to be years!" she explained. "I'm going to be 44 when I get married!"
And, it seems that Green is keeping with the current trend of hands-on wedding-planning grooms, à la Katy Perry and Russell Brand. "He is in on the planning," she confessed. "He wants to be! We are just even more committed to each other and we always have been. I am more in love with him now than I was in the beginning."
Fox and Green (the latter of whom has a son, Kassius Lijah, from a previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil) first began dating in 2004, despite a 12-year age difference. Fox has been vocal about her preference for older men. "Boys in their 20s are a waste of time," she explained to Elle. "They have nothing to offer conversationally.
They're immature. I feel like I have a better shot with someone in his 30s."
