In one of the more inspired casting combinations in "Saturday Night Live" history, when Betty White hosts "SNL"
for the Mother's Day special on May 8, she'll be paired with musical guest Jay-Z. And it seems that if the situation arises, she'd love to play Bonnie to his Clyde at some point during the show.
"I'm thrilled to meet him. I'm thrilled to hear he's going to be on the show because he's the hottest thing since sliced bread, but I certainly enjoy him. I hope we'll get along well," White told reporters
Wednesday about her appearance on the show next weekend. "Yes, [I have listened to his music] ... I have no idea [if we'll work together]! But I'm game to try anything. This is an adventure!"
White insisted that she didn't yet know what the show will entail. And, despite the show biz mantra about never working with kids or animals, animal-lover White would love the chance to do just that. "I have no idea what I'm going to be doing. I haven't talked to anybody. I hope I'll be with some kind of animals," she said. "They're the other half of my life. They always get me calm and tone me down."
The episode will have many past female cast members coming back to make appearances, and it leaves the fate of the male cast members up in the air. But White is certain she'll find someone to flirt with on-set. "If there aren't any, I'll hit on every member of the crew!" she joked. "I've always had a bawdy sense of humor."
