You might know Aziz Ansari from "Human Giant," Judd Apatow's "Funny People" or NBC's "Parks & Recreation" — but now that he's gotten the gig of [article id="1637307"]hosting this year's MTV Movie Awards[/article], the comedian's cryptic background is beginning to emerge.
Recently, [article id="1637882"]Zac Efron, Diddy and Kristen Bell[/article] weighed in with unearthed information on Aziz. Now, an additional big-name star is pulling skeletons out of the funnyman's closet.
"You've got this little brown baby, Aziz," the always-provocative Sarah Silverman says, adding to Bell's tale of the time Ansari sat in the snow as a child. "He's trapped in the tundra. He's destined for failure, right? Wrong — because two years later, he is in a tiny plaid suit with a tiny little bow tie.
"It's inspirational," she adds, choking back a tear.
Using real-life pictures from Ansari's past, celebs like Bell and Silverman have helped MTV piece together the comedian's life tale. And it's as fascinating as it is full of nonsense.
"Aziz was born in the snowy mountains of the Himalayas," Bell tells us about his early-in-life plight. "He used to put on his dark-blue overalls and just go sit in the snow."
"One time, young Aziz got stuck under a TV," Diddy explains in the clip. "He was trapped under there for six years. Six years."
"There was this Halloween once," Zac Efron says of his past displays of heroism. "Someone needed to step up and dress like a pumpkin, but no one wanted to do it except Aziz. He saved a lot of lives that day. And that's why I'm glad he's hosting the MTV Movie Awards."
Check out the hero for yourself as he makes new picture-worthy moments — and possibly slips back into that plaid suit and bow tie — when the MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
