With Sandra Bullock surprised that she could keep [article id="1637977"]her adoption a secret[/article] since January and with fans coming to Bullock's side now that she has announced her plans to divorce her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jesse James, her friends and co-stars are speaking out and showing their support for the Oscar winner.
On a press call for her "Saturday Night Live" appearance on May 8, Betty White commented on the People cover featuring her "Proposal" co-star, telling reporters that while she cares for Bullock deeply, she hopes everyone will respect her enough to give her space. "I love her dearly and her personal life is her business," White said. "Certainly not mine or anybody else's."
In the [article id="1637951"]interview with People[/article], Bullock revealed that she was as surprised by the news of James' affairs as everyone else and never suspected he was cheating on her. "I had no idea about anything until that day when I got the call. It seems like a thousand years ago when this happened. All I remember thinking, 'I need to get Louis out of here before the vultures descend,' " she explained. "But never in a million years did I foresee something like this happening. I wish it hadn't, and it still doesn't seem real."
And while she's still healing from the split, she said that her infant son, Louis, is her "little man" these days. "He is just perfect," she said, adding, "The first time I met Louis it was like the whole outside world just got quiet. It just fit, and I never had another moment to worry again."
