Adam Lambert Is Next Week's 'American Idol' Mentor

He will also perform his single 'Whataya Want From Me' during the results show.

[artist id="3188063"]Adam Lambert[/artist], last season's "American Idol" runner-up, will appear as a mentor on the April 13 episode and perform his single "Whataya Want from Me" during the results show, Entertainment Weekly reports.

While this week's contestants will tackle songs from the [article id="1635470"]Lennon/McCartney songbook[/article], it has not been confirmed what the theme for next week's shows will be. Lambert's appearance would round out the return of last season's top five, following on the heels of performances by winner Kris Allen, third-place finisher Danny Gokey, fourth-place finalist Allison Iraheta and fifth-placer Matt Giraud.

Lambert's appearance on the show coincides with the release of [article id="1634876"]his remix EP[/article], which will feature reworked tracks from his debut album, For Your Entertainment. "The remix EP ... is coming out around the 14th of April," Lambert said last month. "That has 'Voodoo' on it and remixes of 'Whataya Want From Me' and 'For Your Entertainment.' " Lambert also revealed that his next single will be "If I Had You," with a video slated for filming in April.

While fans are gearing up for Lambert's return to "Idol" next week, they are also looking forward to [article id="1632247"]his upcoming tour[/article]. He has already teased that he wants some out-there fashions for the outing. "I think Gareth Pugh is really, really talented," he said of the English designer whose goth-chic designs could be a perfect fit for the glam rocker. "It's kind of futuristic and cutting-edge."
