A rumor that wrestling star David Otunga wanted to marry his superstar fiancée [artist id="2481017"]Jennifer Hudson[/artist] in the WWE ring recently spread on the Internet. And although it seems a slim possibility that that will happen, Otunga is not exactly dead-set against the idea of saying "I do" in front of thousands of wrestling fans.
"It was an interview and somebody asked me [if I would marry Jennifer in the ring]," he explained to MTV News about the origin of the wedding rumor. "I don't think she'd go for it, but that'd be cool."
And while it was that little snippet that got everyone thinking the pair actually had plans to get married in the wrestling ring, he said his Grammy- and Oscar-winning lady love hasn't agreed to do it, but he thinks it might be a fun idea. The pair would join the ranks of other wrestling couples who have tied the knot in the ring, including Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth and Billy and Chuck. "It would be quite a show, and we could have the ropes white and flowers," Otunga said.
Although Hudson isn't necessarily supportive of a WWE-themed wedding, she is very supportive of the Harvard Law School grad's wrestling career, noting that she was more excited than he was when he got his wrestling contract. But Hudson still has her reservations. "She definitely worries about me ... worries I'm gonna get hurt. But she sees how much I train and she's confident," he explained, adding, "and usually [I'm] doing the hurting, not getting hurt."
