On Sunday night, much of Hollywood were displaying their bright-and-shiny best in London for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards. Everyone from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to Clare Danes and Vera Farmiga dazzled onlookers from the red carpet.
Stewart, who won the audience-voted Rising Star award, was chic in her textured white Chanel dress paired with a pair of funky platform shoes. Her "Twilight" co-star Pattinson wore a black Gucci suit and tamed his infamous locks with a little hair product for his hometown audience.
Like Stewart, "Up in the Air" star Vera Farmiga was white-hot on the carpet in a one-shouldered, flowing Marchesa gown cinched at the waist with a black belt. Keeping the color scheme light was "Harry Potter" star Bonnie Wright, whose buttery, satin Prada gown fit her perfectly. "Precious" star Gabourey Sidibe embraced her curves in a satin, beige Tadashi Shoji, proving that the trend of the night was definitely pale-hued gowns.
U.K. designer Burberry provided the looks for both Danes and "Lovely Bones" star Saoirse Ronan. Ronan kept it short, sweet and ruffled in a white dress paired with a gray belt. Danes went for a ruched gown in a nude color by the designer.
"Twilight" and "Up in the Air" star Anna Kendrick definitely likes to go funky at big events, and her short, yellow, tiered Emilio Pucci dress was funky and young. "An Education" star Carey Mulligan (who later won Best Leading Actress) also went with a bold look on the carpet in her Vionnet gown. Kate Winslet very rarely missteps on the red carpet, and her black Stella McCartney gown was classic and sexy, thanks to a high slit up the front.
