Lady Gaga Tweets Christmas Greeting To Her 'Monsters'

'Thank u for never giving up on me,' she tells her fans on Twitter.

MTV News' Woman of the Year [artist id="3061469"]Lady Gaga[/artist] has a lot to be thankful for this year: a smash-hit album with The Fame, one of the year's hottest tours with the Monster Ball and a slew of year-end accolades for her breakthrough 2009.

But the singer took some time last week to spread the love and offer a big shout-out to her die-hard fans for their support and love over the past 12 months.

"Merry Christmas, I'll love you + make music 4ever, never give up on ure dreams. Thank u for never giving up on me," Gaga tweeted on Christmas Eve. "Tonight for xmas, they told me December marks 1 year since The Fame was released, and today we are 8 million albums sold. I love u monsters."

Gaga has plenty more in store for 2010, including a completely revamped Monster Ball tour that will up the ante on the already-lavish production she's currently taking around the country.

"It's kind of funny because, after Kanye and I split up for this tour, I was really unsure if I could get a show together in time for my fans," Gaga told MTV News recently. "But I didn't want to disappoint them and not tour over Christmas, and I had a new record coming out, so ... what's exciting about this show is that I was able to put together something that, in truth, I never would have done if I had a longer amount of time.

"So, I put together a show that is so perfectly an avant-garde-performance-art-fashion installation, put in a blender and vomited on as a pop show. It's kind of this amazing theme of evolution, but it's in a garage, and me and all my friends are kind of exploring the music," she continued. "But it's a very vacuous space. It's a box, it's a runway, and we have to transform that space to feel like eight different acts throughout the entire show. But for the next version of the Monster Ball, which is going to be in February when I begin in the U.K. with my arena tour, I'm throwing out the stage. My team thinks I'm completely psychotic. But I don't f---ing care what they think."

Gaga didn't reveal too many details about the remixed tour, but did say that Danish poppers Alphabeat will be the opening act and that the show will be massive.
