Taylor Swift, Robert Pattinson Among People's Most Intriguing Of 2009

It has certainly a big year for stars like Rihanna, Susan Boyle, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, but according to the editors of People magazine, country star Taylor Swift was 2009's Golden Girl.

Swift graces the cover of the magazine's 25 Most Intriguing of 2009 issue, due to her success on the road, on the charts and at awards shows, including her famous appearance at this year's VMAs. "It feels like this ongoing dream," she told People. "It blows my mind."

The 19-year-old singer added that she has no plans start acting like some party girl now that she's famous. "You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes," she explained. "I would like to think everybody out there isn't just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk. People know I'm not a party girl. I'm not hiding some dying urge to be out clubbing right now."

Other intriguing celebrities in the issue include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (The Power Pair), Barack and Michelle Obama (The First Couple), Rihanna (The Resilient Star), Robert Pattinson (The Heartthrob), Lady Gaga (The Shock Star) and Spears (The Comeback).

The magazine added a new category for this year, Men in the Doghouse, for celebs Tiger Woods, David Letterman, Kanye West and Chris Brown. Incoming "American Idol" judge Ellen DeGeneres is the New Girl, while Khloé, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are the Sister Act. Michael Jackson's children, Paris, Prince and Blanket, are noted as the Descendants, and Boyle is 2009's Surprise Hit. The issue also noted actors like Mo'Nique (The Breakout Star) and Ryan Reynolds (The Leading Man) for their work in movies this year.
