All year long, MTV News’ “Behind the Screen” series has been giving you exclusive sneak peeks at the most anticipated movies of 2009 and beyond, from a first look at Brad Pitt in “Inglourious Basterds” to Sam Worthington chatting on the U.K. set of “Clash of the Titans.”
On Wednesday, December 16, at 4 p.m., the final “Behind the Screen” of the year will bring you our biggest show yet: 30 minutes bursting with fresh looks at the films everyone is talking about — chief among them the big-screen game-changer, [movie id="301495"]“Avatar.”[/movie]
We have an exclusive sit-down interview with director [movieperson id="9282"]James Cameron[/movieperson], who talks about the challenges of bringing his 3-D motion-capture epic to the screen and the future of his burgeoning sci-fi franchise. Cameron also walks us through the creation of a particularly badass action scene, which we’ll then exclusively debut in finished form. As if this weren’t enough new “Avatar” goodness, we’ll also bring you cast interviews with stars like Worthington and Zoe Saldana from the “Avatar” world premiere in London . A week after “Avatar” premieres on Friday, “Sherlock Holmes” arrives in theaters on Christmas Day. On “BTS,” we’ll present an exclusive action scene featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and Jude Law as his trusty sidekick Watson.
Of course, the show isn’t just focused on 2009. “BTS” is also looking ahead to two of the most hotly anticipated comedies of 2010.
