While Ryan Seacrest is busy ringing in the new year as the East Cost host of "New Year's Rockin' Eve" on January 31, [artist id="1234831"]Fergie[/artist] will host the West Coast festivities from Las Vegas. The show is set to air on December 31 on ABC starting at 10 p.m.
ABC announced that the show, which is now in its 38th year, will feature performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Robin Thicke, Keri Hilson, Selena Gomez, Colbie Caillat and Orianthi. The East Coast performers will be announced at a later date, according to "Access Hollywood."
[article id="1627490"]"New Year's Rockin' Eve"[/article] was recently in the news when it was announced that Adam Lambert would no longer be included in the show's lineup. ABC uninvited him from the show after his controversial [article id="1626841"]American Music Awards[/article] performance in late November.
Lambert had also been uninvited from appearances on ABC's "Good Morning America" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," but he will appear on [article id="1627713"]"The View"[/article] on Thursday, where he will perform and sit down for an interview with the hosts. He will also be featured on Barbara Walters' special "The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009," to air Wednesday night.
Fergie's group, the Black Eyed Peas, were recently [article id="1627528"]nominated for six Grammy Awards[/article], including Record of the Year and Album of the Year. "This is a blessing. We're very blessed," Fergie told MTV News about the nominations. "The thing is, we're still hungry, we're still working hard ... and all of the work we've put into it just makes us appreciate it more."
