NEW YORK — "Twilight" fans are nothing if not vocal, reacting with zeal or disappointment as casting developments, actor comments and brand-new footage sneak out. Now only one month stands between the vampire franchise devotees and the second installment in the saga, "New Moon." The passion — and the fresh peeks at the film — continue apace.
Another clip has hit the Web, this one showing Kristen Stewart's [article id="1624239"]Bella Swan in a confrontation with the wolf pack[/article] of Native American shape-shifters and featuring a CGI-fueled transformation from human to fang-bearing beast. And so MTV News hit the streets to find out what you had to say about this latest video.
The overwhelming response from the folks hanging out in our home base of Times Square was that "New Moon" seems like it will deliver cutting-edge thrills. "I think the special effects where he turns into a wolf is actually very cool," Matthew Shait said. "I think that will be one of the things that drives the movie."
Nicholas Guastella seconded that thought and argued, quite humorously, that the clip showed a great leap forward compared to the first film. "I thought it was way cooler than anything I've seen from the first movie," he said. "I think I won't feel as embarrassed taking a girlfriend to this movie, because there's more action and less laying in grass and, like, kissing and stuff. I think it's gonna be awesome."
Special effects aside, some Twilighters are just looking forward to seeing a whole lot of Taylor Lautner's Jacob Black. "Mostly to see Jacob not with a shirt on," laughed Jenna Vivacqua when asked why she'll be hitting the theater.
But not everyone found themselves on Team Jacob or Robert Pattinson's Team Edward. Some were psyched that the clip featured Stewart getting to show off her badass side when she throws a punch at a member of the wolf pack. "It's a lot of Kristen Stewart looking really good," said Kayla Keefe. "I don't know who Robert Pattinson is, just Kristen!"
