Lo Bosworth Says She Won't Star In Lauren Conrad's 'L.A. Candy'

'I don't think I could handle a big role because I'm not an actress,' 'Hills' star Bosworth says.

Though the filmmakers behind the big-screen adaptation of Lauren Conrad's "L.A. Candy" are nowhere near the casting stage, the author herself has offered a suggestion as to who she'd like to see in the flick. Conrad joked to MTV News that she wants her roommate, friend and former "Hills" castmate Lo Bosworth on board, but Bosworth isn't sure she's ready for her close-up.

"It was more of a joke than anything," Lo told E! News when asked about the report that Lauren invited her to star in the film. "We were on the red carpet together and they were like, 'Who do you want to be in the movie?' I would love to make a cameo, but I don't think I could handle a big role because I'm not an actress. A cameo would be really fun."

Lauren, however, seems to have a more glowing opinion of Lo's acting chops. Earlier this month, she said that Lo has taken an acting class or two and should use the skills in the movie, which is being produced by the team behind "Twilight." "I would like Lo Bosworth," she joked. "Lo has taken a couple of acting classes in her life."

However, she then got more serious about the film adaptation, saying, "We've made a partnership, and we're working with writers at the moment." She added, "No, [I don't know who should be in it]. [That's] the question I do not have an answer for. I have no idea! I feel like I'm going to shoot for someone crazy-amazing, and then they're going to be like, 'Ugh, yeah, I'll do your movie.' "
