In "Jennifer's Body," Megan Fox has a lot of love to give, even if that love means tearing bloodily into her date's flesh at the end of a night out. And, after speaking with the 23-year-old starlet at length recently, MTV News has a lot of love to shoot back her way. Who else in Hollywood doles out such choice quotes, such delectable sound bites?
As "Body" hits theaters on Friday (September 18), we've gathered together five of the finest things we've learned from our conversations with Megan Fox — the five things that make us love her.
She's Comfortable With a Same-Sex Smooch
"I feel much safer with girls, so I felt more comfortable kissing [co-star Amanda Seyfried] in the movie than kissing any of the other people that I had to kiss. I think she was extremely uncomfortable. I don't think that — I know that. She was not comfortable and there was a lot of laughing — like, giggling fits that happened in between takes."
Well played, Megan. In the same breath that she says how comfy she is swapping spit with her female co-star, she throws that co-star under the bus. That's pretty cold. But when you're admitting that you kind of dig making out with chicks, your fans aren't going to complain. Megan Fox wins.
She'll Never Have a Sex Tape
"Ugh, never! That's the last thing I want to see — what I look like having sex. It would take one shot of me not looking good, and I would not be able to have sex ever again, because I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex."
Sure, the actress might go around making purposely provocative statements about sex and sexuality, but they're only words. Kudos to Fox for a commitment to keeping the camera out of the bedroom and thus making a nudie-pic scandal an impossibility. Sorry, Internet creeps! Her privates will stay private.
She Loves Our Favorite Movies
"My friends and I were really obsessed with ['Office Space'] and — because we were annoying and ridiculous when we were in seventh grade — we would just write quotes from the movie on notes and pass them back and forth in class and laugh hysterically every time we opened the note and passed it back."
In every dorm room in America this semester, there will be at least one late-night, booze-fueled conversation about the best big-screen comedy of the last 10 years. In about half of those heated debates, "Office Space" will secure the top spot. Fox's obsession is America's obsession. She's a woman of the people. She has impeccable taste.
She Admits When She's Afraid
"I still am intimidated by cliques, by groups of teenage girls that approach me. I always feel like I'm gonna get pelted with something or something's going amiss."
Though Fox freely admits she can be aggressive, she confesses that her aggressiveness stems from insecurity. Yes, she's one of the most gorgeous and in-demand women in Hollywood. But, you know, celebrities are just like us! They've got their hang-ups and phobias and skeleton-stuffed closets. At least Fox is honest about her issues.
She's Totally Nuts
"I wanted to try and be honest and truthful on camera as much as I could [during 'Jennifer's Body'], and if people receive that as a better performance than I gave in 'Transformers,' then good for me. If not, then, I mean, f--- 'em. I'm insane. Sometimes I'm great and other times I'm a complete lunatic. And I think for the entirety of this shoot, you could categorize me as lunatic."
What else is there to add? Love her or hate her, you never know what's going to come out of her mouth next. And when most celebrities are content to spew the same tired sentiments and the same canned bites over and over, we'll take Megan Fox any day of the week.
