Tony Yayo Picks His Hottest MCs -- And Throws His Name In The Ring

'It's the biggest thing for me that y'all even mention my name, man,' the G-Unit rapper says.

Does [artist id="1689514"]Tony Yayo[/artist] belong on the Hottest MCs in the Game list? The G-Unit soldier has certainly been keeping his name out in the streets. The Southside Queens native has dropped two Swine Flu mixtapes, the Public Enemies CD and, his latest tape, Gangsta Paradise. The Talk of New York is heating up.

"I'm going hard. I'm glad my name is being talked about," Yayo told MTV News of the Hottest debate. (To see what it takes to make the list, check out our Hottest MCs criteria.) "Opinions are like a--holes. Everybody has one. All the rappers out there, don't get emotional [about the Hottest MCs list]. It's people's opinions, man.

"It's the biggest thing for me that y'all even mention my name, man," Yayo continued, talking directly to some of the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust members. "[The G-Unit] T.O.S. album, I went hard. All my mixtapes went hard. But I think y'all need to throw some DJs on that panel. Whatever DJs is brave enough to do it."

Talking to DJ Drama, who was standing next to him, Yayo began to run down his list for the Hottest MCs in the Game — no particular order, of course.

"I would definitely throw 50 [Cent] and [Lloyd] Banks on there," Yayo said. "50 is an animal, and he makes hits. Banks is an animal. I would throw myself on there. You would have to throw Drake on there. Throw Tip [T.I.] on there. Wayne. Kanye, of course. You have to throw him on there. Jada, Fab, Gucci, Jeezy — it's a lot of MCs out there doing their thing."
