DJ AM To Be Buried Today: Report

Private funeral will reportedly take place in West Los Angeles.

Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein will be laid to rest Wednesday (September 2) afternoon in West Los Angeles after a private funeral, according to E! News.

According to the report, he will be buried at 3 p.m. PT at the Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, after an on-site funeral that will be attended only by his family, a Goldstein family friend reportedly said. Hillside is the final resting place of several prominent Jewish celebrities, including Jack Benny, Milton Berle and Michael Landon.

At press time, DJ AM's rep had not responded to MTV News' request for confirmation of the report.

AM, whose body was discovered in his New York City apartment on Friday, will also be remembered by family and friends in a private memorial service

scheduled for Thursday at the Hollywood Palladium, the same venue where AM performed with Jay-Z in October of last year, a month after he and Travis Barker survived a fiery plane crash in South Carolina.

The Palladium memorial is being described as "a gathering to celebrate the life of our friend Adam Goldstein," and will reportedly pay tribute to his struggle with addiction, with a format that will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting.

Earlier this week, the office of the New York City Medical Examiner had announced they had completed an initial autopsy

on AM's body, but that a cause of death had yet to be determined, citing the need for additional toxicological and tissue testing.
