'Sorority Row' Stars Audrina Patridge, Leah Pipes Promise Gore And Laughs

A practical joke goes horribly wrong for the girls of Theta Pi in this horror remake.

Audrina Patridge is leaving "The Hills" behind to join a sorority in her new horror movie, "Sorority Row," out on September 11. And after trying to fend off a psycho killer, surviving the trauma of Kristin Cavallari's addition to the show will seem like a piece of cake.

"I play Megan, and Megan's boyfriend cheats on her," Patridge told MTV News at Comic-Con about her character in the horror movie remake. "You cheat on one Theta Pi, you cheat on all Theta Pis. So, the sorority girls and I, we come up with this prank to get him back, and it's a prank kind of gone wrong. And things don't happen [according to plan]."

The film, directed by Stewart Hendler, is a remake of 1983's "The House on Sorority Row." Patridge is joined by Briana Evigan, Rumer Willis, Jamie Chung and Leah Pipes as the college girls who find themselves hunted down by a serial killer after their little practical joke goes horribly wrong.

Pipes plays the evil mastermind behind the Theta Pi prank. "And when it does go wrong, it doesn't affect her nearly as much as you think it should," Pipes said. "And she kind of has the softest mentality of 'my way or ... you're dead.' "

The actresses said that though their flick is definitely gory and even includes some girl-on-girl action, there are other reasons to watch it. Most notably, that the film has a bit of a funny bone, which may help alleviate the tension at times. "It's gory and it's thrilling," Pipes explained. "It definitely has a very dry, very smart sense of humor."
