[artist id="1269"]Jay-Z[/artist] and [artist id="1236911"]Beyoncé[/artist] — or, more accurately, their security — had a run-in with paparazzi as they left a restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on Tuesday night.
A video clip from Croatian television shows paparazzi crowding around the couple and their entourage as they board a boat. As the boat is ready to pull off, it looks like the cameraman throws his tripod at the bodyguard in the boat. The bodyguard throws the tripod into the water. Right after, we see Jay and the bodyguard ducking, as if someone threw something at them. The boat then pulls away. The video then shows the couple taking a stroll accompanied by a bodyguard when the paps show up. Photographers get too close and the couple's security tries to push a cameraman away. (It appears that the video was edited backward, and the boat incident took place last.)
According to the AFP, the guard allegedly kicked the 57-year-old cameraman in the back several times and threw his camera to the ground, though that part doesn't appear in the online video.
Jay will certainly have a much more pleasant time in a couple of weeks as he prepares for the release of The Blueprint 3 on September 11. Jay-Z.com released a track listing of the LP on Tuesday night, revealing a guest list that includes Kanye West, Rihanna, Mr Hudson, Pharrell Williams, Drake, Alicia Keys and others. That same day, Jay is having a huge concert in New York City.
On September 13, Jay is slated to perform at the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards. Hov is nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Male Video for "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)."
