Week one has almost wrapped for Alexa Chung and her new daytime talk show on MTV, "It's On With Alexa Chung," and the British-born model-turned-talk-show host already has A-list celebrities rolling into her midtown Manhattan loft/studio to chat.
"It's going really well," she told MTV News. "We've had amazing guests. Ryan Reynolds ... was really nice. Ryan Reynolds was hilarious. I liked Jack Black a lot. I think he was ill that day, though. I liked Bradley Cooper. He was very nice, funny."
Chung, who scored the show after a sarcasm-filled audition for MTV, revealed that one of next week's guests is one she's looking forward to meeting in person. "We've got Megan Fox on next week. I want to see her in real life. My eyes might cave in on themselves and shrivel up 'cause they've seen true beauty," she said.
So what will Chung ask the "Transformers" actress? "Why she always goes for a wet-look hairdo," she joked. "Gel is so 1996."
Surprisingly, Al Roker's nemesis Spencer Pratt won Chung over as one of her favorite guests of week one. "I thought Spencer was funny," she said. "I think he's in on a massive joke. I think the whole thing is a hilarious joke. He masterminds what he's going to do the next day to piss people off. [It was] overwhelming. [Spencer and Heidi] sort of walked in like, literally, they were made of gold."
Although she's currently in New York hobnobbing with celebrities, she does miss one thing about her native London: "My local pub." But Chung is definitely enjoying her time here. Plus, it doesn't hurt to have two awesome pads to call her own. "I've got two homes: my MTV loft and my real loft. [The MTV loft] has got furniture in it, so it's a lot different."
Catch "It's On With Alexa Chung" every weekday at noon on MTV.
