Kings Of Leon Catch Up With Zac Efron, Will Ferrell Backstage At MTV Movie Awards

Singer Caleb Followill calls 'Twilight' a 'cool, generational kind of movie.'

When the [artist id="1233888"]Kings of Leon[/artist] arrived at the Gibson Amphitheatre for their big performance of "Use Somebody" on Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards, they may not have expected the amount of mutual celebrity fandom that would take place backstage before and after they performed.

Before hitting the stage, the three brothers and cousin met up with their old friend Zac Efron, and we caught then making some plans with him to meet up after their performance and the show. On Saturday, they told MTV News that they've been friends with Zac for some time.

As for the rest of the crowd, "I think we'll win them over," singer Caleb Followill told MTV News about the show's ability to gain the band even more fans. "We already got the 'High School Musical' kids and the 'Twilight' kids. ... I really liked 'Twilight' a lot. It was a cool, generational kind of movie. I thought it was really pretty."

Then, post-performance, the guys came across Danny McBride and Will Ferrell, who were (oddly) petting stuffed cats during their entire mutual-fandom conversation with the Kings. Although one of the bandmembers asked the guys to make plans, the offer was apparently not taken up. Then, they all posed for a picture before the Kings made their exit.
