Rihanna Hits The Town In New York

Singer attends event at 10 Crosby Street during active nightlife week in NYC.

[artist id="1940303"]Rihanna[/artist] has kept anything but a low profile this week in New York. On Monday night, she graced the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala. And she's even been seen around town shopping and partying on several occasions.

Just a day after having a ladies night with her pal, Katy Perry, at Tillman's Bar and Lounge earlier this week (on Chris Brown's 20th birthday). And Rihanna re-emerged on the scene Wednesday night, this time at an event in New York's SoHo neighborhood.

The singer, wearing a white suit, leopard-print top and metallic platform heels, made her way to an event at 10 Crosby Street near the new Top Shop in downtown Manhattan. She was seen leaving the event alone, according to photographer Marcel Thomas. Rocking a blond streak in her hair, red lipstick and what appeared to be a relaxed attitude, the singer allowed several photos to be taken of her while coming in and out of the event. For one, she even winked at the camera.

Her re-emergence on the scene comes nearly three months after Brown allegedly assaulted her at a pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles. Though the couple briefly reunited after the altercation,

it remains unclear whether Rihanna and Brown, the latter of whom pleaded not guilty to assault charges last month, have called it quits for good.

As for her friendship with Perry, the "I Kissed a Girl" singer has described her as a "good girlfriend." "I pride myself on having cool chicks in my life, and she's a cool chick. We've hung out a couple times," she said. "Of course I consider her a friend."
