[artist id=”860639″]50 Cent[/artist] wants to do a sequel. The Southside Queens MC says the gaming community so eagerly embraced his “Blood in the Sand” that now he wants to make part two.
“I’m hoping we’ll be able to do it,” Fif said with a grin Thursday at the Manhattan Play N Trade store, where he celebrated the game with his fans. “With the success of this actual project, we’ll try to do it again.
“[Fans] said it’s a good video game,” the G-Unit business maven added. “They enjoyed it. I had the opportunity to play with some people online. That was exciting and another way to reach people that are aware of me.”
When it came to his gaming skills, 50 downplayed his abilities. He didn’t want to talk himself up too big and get squashed by more adept competition. “I’m pretty good,” he laughed. “I like to think I’m the best [but] I like to say ’pretty good’ just in case somebody comes in here that really knows how to do it.”
That “somebody” won’t be anyone from his own camp. He said the rest of the Unit doesn’t want to battle in video game combat. “Tony and Banks and Whoo Kid would rather play themselves than to play me.”
Fif’s future games, aside from “Blood in the Sand 2,” probably won’t involve his likeness. “I’d like to be a part of designing and marketing a video game I’m not actually in,” he explained. “I talked to THQ.”
50 is currently in New York shooting the film “12.” He plays a tough guy called Lionel. As far the movie adaptation of the popular game “Saint’s Row” that he’s trying to spearhead, Fif said he’s still in the early stages. “I was trying to option the rights,” he said. “The more we talk about it, the more expensive it will get.”
