They've eloped, they've returned from their honeymoon, and now, believe it or not, they're talking kids. Earlier this week, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt made their way home from their honeymoon in Mexico, and the couple said children are in their future.
Captured by TMZ's cameras as they left the airport — presumably returning from their honeymoon in Mexico — the couple was asked point-blank whether they're planning on starting a family soon.
"We are going to start it!" Heidi said, while holding hands with Pratt. "[It's the] next step!" he added.
When asked to show off their wedding bands, Spencer admitted that they're keeping them under lock and key: "We've got them locked in the safe." When asked how it feels to be married, he said simply, "It feels amazing."
Asked about their vacation, Pratt responded in true reality-TV fashion: "It's all on videotape, my friend!" he said.
The newlyweds phoned in to "The Hills: Live After Show" to confirm what MTV News exclusively reported last week: that "Hills" fans will get the chance to see the couple's elopement on the show. "Of course. Everything is always on 'The Hills,' " the groom joked.
During the call, Pratt also talked about why he felt the moment was right to marry his longtime girlfriend while they were on vacation in Mexico. "I have been trying to marry Heidi for two and a half years now. It came out of nowhere. I was like, 'This was my shot.' "
Montag recalled how emotional she got when the couple exchanged their vows. "Actually, I really started crying," she said. "My eyes just started tearing up. When you hear the love of your life just saying the most amazing, sweet things from his heart, I couldn't help it. It was the best moment in my life."
