Report: Diddy Accused Of Battery

L.A. real estate agent claims Diddy punched him.

A Los Angeles real estate agent has accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of punching him early Sunday morning at a Hollywood hotel.

Although a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson would not name Combs as the alleged perpetrator, she confirmed that an incident report was taken on the alleged 2:30 a.m. scuffle at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, in which an unidentified person was accused of battery. An Associated Press report states that police named Diddy as the alleged aggressor in the incident.

The hotel is across the street from the Kodak Theatre, where the Oscars took place on Sunday night, and Diddy was reportedly in town for Oscar-related events. TMZ.com reported that the complaint was filed by 27-year-old real estate agent Gerard Rechnitzer, though the LAPD spokesperson would not confirm that. According to a copy of the alleged report posted on TMZ — which does not name Diddy — the rapper/producer was talking to Rechnitzer's girlfriend, and when Rechnitzer approached Diddy he was punched on the right side of his face.

A spokesperson for Diddy declined MTV News' request for comment on the matter.
