Yung Joc's Magic Coming Back: Fantasy Football Week Seven Preview

Also, Lil Wayne seeks W over Liz Hernandez.

Things are starting to heat up heading into week seven of MTV News' fantasy-football league.

After igniting the ranks the first three weeks of the season, Block Entertainment's Yung Joc looked like he was gonna steamroll the competition (see [article id="1540491"]"Kickoff Time! Check Out Our Fantasy Football League, With Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Method Man"[/article]).

But then Joc's touch got colder than relations between 50 Cent and the Game as he dropped two in a row. Looks like the dope boy magic is coming back, though, as last week Joc's team racked up an MTV season-high 119 points while scorching Lil Wayne's squad. This week Joc hopes to maintain his strength against an embattled Method Man, who has been tanking in the division basement with Weezy F.

Speaking of sizzle, Liz Hernandez heads into the weekend riding a two-game winning streak on the strength of strong back-to-back showings against Meth and Uncle Luke. This week, Liz matches up with Wayne; the New Orleans rapper has dropped his last two and is in serious need of a W. But Weezy Weeze must have been snoozy snooze because nearly his entire roster is off this week with byes.

Paul Wall and his team have chopped and screwed their way through the league during his four-game winning streak. Wall's mostly done it with the D, and having the Steelers this week helps. But with a breakout performance from his offensive selections against Luke in week six, expect him to take down another 305 opponent in Cool & Dre. Paul loves Miami more than Will Smith!

And Tyrese "Black Ty" Gibson continues to have his way. Riding the strong arm of Donovan McNabb and the fast feet of Tiki Barber, Tyrese should again have no trouble as he takes on Uncle Luke. As for Luke? Well, the race for the number one pick next year never looked better for him. Let's see how the teams stack up this week:

Joc broke out of his mini slump last week and put up a MTV fantasy-football record 119 points from his roster. With his high-powered attack, featuring LT (who scored four TDs last week) and slasher Brian Westbrook, look for Joc to put up another triple-digit score on the board. Meth's roster, on the other hand, is in need of serious retooling. With virtually no production from his back field all year, his team looks to have as much chemistry as Wu-Tang does nowadays.

Lil Wayne hopes to ride Clinton Portis and Tony Gonzalez to victory in this pivotal matchup -- the two are the only players on his team active this week, so really he has no choice. Liz, on the other hand, has a number of hot players penciled in to start for her. Terrell Owens is fresh off a three-TD performance, and Liz's Chargers defense stonewalled the 49ers last week and should do the same against the Chiefs and their green QB Damon Huard.

Paul Wall versus Cool & Dre figures to be the marquee matchup of the week. Wall can't seem to do wrong as of late. Expect Antonio Gates to see the end zone against a soft KC linebacker corps and put up plenty of points for Wall. And the vaunted Steelers D should force a couple of turnovers in favor of Houston's finest. But Cool & Dre aren't pushovers. Their QB, Peyton Manning, is coming off a bye week and that should mean big numbers versus a weak Redskins secondary. And receiver Steve Smith is fresh off a huge week, putting up 189 receiving yards against a stingy Ravens defense, which should mean more of the same against the Bengals.

Luke just hopes to stay competitive this week against league leader Tyrese. His back Edgerrin James should see his numbers rise against a porous Raiders defensive line. But Donovan McNabb has been the model of consistency for Tyrese all year long and continues to rack up points in bunches. The QB has notched two TDs in each game so far this season. And with Barber talking retirement plans at the end of the season, look for him to put up big numbers to quiet the distractions. Retirement plans never slowed Jay-Z down much, so show us what you got, Tiki!
