IRVINE, California -- Last year, Bow Wow and Chris Brown got together onstage during the We Ain't Done Yet Holiday Jam tour, and again on Brown's "Run It" remix. Now the teen duo have collaborated on another song, "Shortie Like Mine." But this time, Bow gets ownership of the record, with C.B. providing guest vocals.

"It was cool," said Brown, sitting in his tour bus during a recent stop on the Up Close and Personal Tour. "We worked together in the past. Both of us are real young. We both understand the game. I've only been in the game a year, he's a vet, so I take some things from him. He's a cool dude.

" 'Shortie Like Mine' is about trying to keep your girl," he said of the pair's record, which is the first single from Bow's upcoming The Price of Fame LP, due December 19. "Trying to tell her she's number one -- a hip-hop love song. I got a good little second verse on there as well as the hook."

Brown, who finishes the last show of the Up Close and Personal Tour Tuesday night (October 10) in Seattle, said he's already started on a new LP, but isn't even finished with his self-titled debut yet. He's working on a remix to "Poppin' " and wants his tourmates, Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana, to rap on it.

"Bringing [hip-hop and R&B] together has been incredible, because we have both sides of the table," Brown said about touring with the aforementioned rappers, Ne-Yo, Cherish and Dem Franchize Boys (see [article id="1539600"]"Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, Juelz Give UCP Crowd Plenty To Scream About"[/article]). "You have the hip-hop 'hood side. Plus we have the R&B, kinda 'hood and then [the] loving side. We get to bring different crowds together, plus fans can get to know and love a new artist they might not have known about. That's great for everybody's publicity, culture and type of music."

Though the Up Close trek is nearly done, Brown vows to return to the road as soon as possible. "I gotta come back on tour. I love performing. After I do this [new] album and 'The O.C.,' I gotta come back next summer," Brown said, referring to his upcoming stint on the teen drama (see [article id="1536576"]"Chris Brown Scores Role On 'The O.C.,' Ready To Be 'Geeked Out All The Way' "[/article]). "I know my man Justin Timberlake has a tour coming up, so hopefully I can get on that. It could be 'Chris and Justin' or 'Justin and Chris,' however y'all wanna see it. It'll be crazy. We'll have fun with it. Justin, holler at me."

Brown has some other projects to occupy himself with in the meantime. In January, the 17-year-old singer and budding actor will be featured in the film "Stomp the Yard," which also stars Ne-Yo (see [article id="1542094"]" 'Save The Last Dance 2' Star Ne-Yo Dispenses Dancing, Not Acting, Tips"[/article]). "That movie is crazy," Brown said. "A lot of different great actors, it's an opportunity for it to be a dance movie, but not a wack dance movie.

"It's us having fun, dancing, you feeling our energy, but at the same time doing a dialogue and having a meaning."
