Kristin Cavallari Gets Her Mean Girl On In ‘Spring Breakdown’

Film slated for release next year.

NEW YORK — It worked for Lindsay Lohan. Now, Kristin Cavallari is hoping to get a boost from the “Saturday Night Live” gang.

MTV News caught up with the “Laguna Beach” star at the Rock & Republic show during Fashion Week, and she gave us the scoop on her next movie, “Spring Breakdown,” which features “SNL” veterans Rachel Dratch (who co-wrote the flick) and Amy Poehler, along with Parker Posey and Amber Tamblyn.

“It’s a comedy about girlfriends that missed out on spring break because they were losers in high school, and now they’re older and they go on a college spring break,” said Cavallari (who was rocking a LaRok top and Rock & Republic short shorts). “And that’s where I am. I’m in a [clique] called the Sevens and we’re, like, the bitchy, mean girls.”

While similarities between the Sevens and the Plastics from “Mean Girls” seem obvious, when asked if the Sevens resembled the Heathers from 1989′s “Heathers” (starring Winona Ryder, Shannen Doherty and Christian Slater), Cavallari was nonplussed.

“What’s the Heathers?” she asked. “I’ve never seen that.” (To be fair, she was 2 years old when the film came out.)
