Paula Abdul Tells Police She Was Assaulted At Party

'Idol' judge says she got a concussion, spinal injuries after weekend incident.

Paula Abdul judged "American Idol" as usual this week, but on Tuesday night, just after the performance-show taping, she filed a police report claiming she was seriously assaulted over the weekend.

According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, Abdul said she was at a private party in Hollywood at 1 a.m. on Sunday when a man grabbed her arm and threw her against a wall, giving her a concussion and spinal injuries.

Abdul provided the name of the man to authorities but not her relation to him. Police are investigating the incident but have not charged anyone and have not released the name.

The "Idol" judge chose not to have police photograph her injuries but said she would be available to return on a different date.

Abdul had no comment on the incident Thursday, her publicist said.

Last week, Abdul signed on for three more seasons of "Idol."
