When Dropkick Murphys bassist Ken Casey found that he would have to exit the punk band's current tour because of severe pneumonia, lead singer Mike McColgan took the opportunity to tell his bandmates that he was leaving, too. McColgan plans to take a job with the Boston Fire
Department, according to Jason Henry, Epitaph Records spokesperson. Henry
said the band hopes to have Casey back in good health and a replacement for
McColgan secured in time for the Dropkicks to take their place on this
summer's Warped tour.
