Britney Spears doesn't acknowledge her forthcoming remix album, B in the Mix: The Remixes, on her main Web site, but on her paid fan site, she's offering a bunch of goodies in a contest to get people to preorder the album, due November 22. One grand-prize winner is slated to receive a "Chaotic" DVD, a bottle of Fantasy perfume, Fantasy lotion, the Fantasy makeup kit and a personalized autographed photo. ...

Christina Aguilera's about to get married, but don't expect an invite unless you're "close friends and family." Talking to reporters in Johannesburg, South Africa, at a press conference this week, the singer explained that the wedding wouldn't be "too big, we're not 300-500 people." Though she's trying to keep most details to herself, she revealed that it would be a destination wedding taking place over the span of three days. "We are going to have a wedding weekend," she said. "Each night has a certain theme to it, and the whole thing is very magical." ... Young Buck's lawyers were in a Los Angeles courtroom on Thursday (November 10) for a pretrial hearing in connection with the melee at last fall's Vibe Awards. What is called a jury trial date setting, where the start date and other details of a trial will be determined, was postponed to December 12. The G-Unit rapper has already pleaded not guilty to assault with a deadly weapon. ... Beanie Sigel found himself jailed for about one hour on Thursday morning. A bench warrant was issued for Beanie on Wednesday after he failed to appear in court for a child-support matter, and on Thursday a Philadelphia family court judge ordered that Sigel pay more than $26,000 in back child support or go to jail. Sigel's lawyer said Beans wasn't prepared for the judge to demand such a large payment and did not have the money on his person. The rapper arranged for the payment shortly thereafter and was released. ...

Beck, INXS and Def Leppard will perform at the VH1 Big in '05 Awards, taping December 3 in Los Angeles and airing the following night on VH1. Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Piven, Kristin Cavalleri, the Hogans and Danny Bonaduce are presenting and D.L. Hughley is hosting the event. ... 50 Cent, Charlize Theron and Kiefer Sutherland will present trophies at Spike TV's Video Game Awards 2005, which tapes November 18 in Los Angeles and broadcasts December 10 on Spike. Green Day, Destiny's Child and the Black Eyed Peas will compete for Favorite Group at the 32nd annual People's Choice Awards, it was announced Thursday. Michael Jackson's all-star charity single has a new name, according to Ciara, who's just recorded her part on it. Though Jacko's rep insists that "the name of the song will be announced" only when MJ's ready, Ciara revealed that "From the Bottom of My Heart" is now called "I Have a Dream." "It's a very beautiful record," she said. "The cool thing is that it has a message behind it and it's for a good cause." The single, once released, will benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. ... Nelly's looking for some resourceful students to help him promote his Pimp Juice and PJ Tight energy drinks. The rapper revealed details this week about how students can enter his second annual P.I.M.P. (Positive. Intellectual. Motivated. Person.) Scholarship Contest. Students of all ages and disciplines can enter the competition to produce "the most unique Pimp Juice or PJ Tight video commercial that best captures the essence of the energized, successful hip-hop lifestyle promoted by Nelly's energy drinks." The new album from Master P's collective the 504 Boyz, Hurricane Katrina - We Gon' Bounce Back, hits stores next week, and all proceeds from the sale of the LP will go to support the victims of the storm. Master P was in his hometown of New Orleans just after Katrina hit, and has been raising money since that time. ... Meanwhile, P is already signed up to star in "Saw 3." The rapper first got acquainted with producer Mark Burg when he shot the 2000 movie "Lockdown," and the two have maintained contact ever since. "The black guy is not dying as soon as the movie comes on," P said of "Saw 3." Master P's character is currently being developed. ...

Veteran West Coast rappers Tha Alkaholiks are retiring, but not before releasing their fifth album, Firewater, due in February. A farewell tour will be scheduled around the release. ... A copyright-infringement lawsuit that was filed against Britney Spears back in May by an Indiana songwriter, who'd claimed he penned Brit's song "Sometimes," has been dismissed. Spears' attorney David Baum told The Associated Press that his client "demonstrate[d] without question that the song was written completely by Jörgen Elofsson," who also wrote the track "(You Drive Me) Crazy." In his suit, Steve Wallace claimed he'd written the song back in 1990, but didn't copyright it until 2003 -- four years after the track appeared on Britney's ... Baby One More Time. Wallace executed what's known as a "poor man's" copyright, when he mailed a copy of the song to himself in 1990. Wallace also presented the court with an e-mail he claims Spears wrote to him, which read, "I now know for a fact that you wrote ['Sometimes']. But there's nothing I can do about it. That's all I can say about it." Baum said the e-mail was an obvious fake. ...

Paris Hilton has been asked to testify as a witness in a criminal case against Darnell Riley, a man accused of breaking into the Bel Air, California, home of "Girls Gone Wild" mastermind Joe Francis in an attempt to kidnap him. Hilton was delivered the subpoena last week at her Hollywood Hills home. "She's not charged with anything. She just happens to be a witness," a spokesperson for the Los Angeles district attorney clarified to The Associated Press on Tuesday. Beyoncé's family's charity, the Survivor Foundation, has donated $1 million to St. John's Downtown and the Bread of Life, organizations that are building homes in Houston for displaced Hurricane Katrina victims. "I've known the Knowles family for many years and this is a true reflection of their generosity and humanitarian spirit," Rudy Rasmus, pastor of St. John's Downtown, said in a statement. ... J. The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office's Child Support Enforcement Unit has issued a bench warrant for Beanie Sigel, as he failed to appear in court on Wednesday morning (November 9) as scheduled. According to the chief assistant to the Philadelphia district attorney, Beanie was supposed to go to court for two cases of failure to pay child support. Sigel's lawyer Fortunato Perri Jr. says Beanie's been dealing with the child-support matter for the past couple of years and his failure to appear was nothing more than an oversight. Sigel is expected in court on Thursday morning. ... Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony spent their Tuesday night at an anti-poverty gala at the United Nations, to honor the winners of the Global Microentrepreneurship Awards. The nine developing-world winners, who were from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Liberia, South Africa, India, China, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Peru, used small loans to start up businesses. David Bowie is planning on releasing a digital EP of his live collaborations with the Arcade Fire.
