Sticky Fingaz Faces Weapons Charges For Gun Left In Hotel Room

Rapper-turned-actor checked out of a Manhattan hotel, leaving a loaded pistol behind.

It looks like Sticky Fingaz forgot the cardinal rule of hotel checkouts: Before leaving your room, look under the bed for anything you might have left behind.

In Fingaz's case, that would include a loaded 9 mm pistol. The 35-year-old rapper-turned-actor (real name Kirk Jones), turned himself in to police on Tuesday after a maid at the upscale New York hotel Flatotel found the semiautomatic firearm he left behind and called police to report the incident.

Fingaz, currently co-starring as an American soldier in Iraq in the FX drama "Over There," is facing weapons-possession charges for the unregistered, unlicensed gun, according to a police spokesperson. MTV News was unable to reach a representative of the district attorney's office by press time to find out when Jones would be in court on the charges.

The former frontman for gritty rap group Onyx is in Manhattan to film "Karma, Confessions and Holi," which co-stars Naomi Campbell and is being directed by Robert De Niro's daughter, Dreena, according to a United Press International report.
