Mariah Carey has just been added to the performance roster for the 2005 MTV Movie Awards, airing June 9. The singer will share the stage with previously announced acts Eminem and Nine Inch Nails.
And with "The Simple Life" now over for Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton's former bud is snatching up the gig the heiress-turned-actress scored last year: co-hosting the 2005 MTV Movie Awards Pre-show. Richie will work the red carpet alongside rapper Fat Joe.
Tom Cruise, the Rock, Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Chiklis and Julian McMahon have all been added to the ever-growing, star-studded lineup of presenters. Already slated to hand out the golden popcorn are Hilary Swank, Vin Diesel, Jessica Simpson, Johnny Knoxville, Jessica Alba, Hilary Duff, Zach Braff, Seann William Scott, Rob Schneider, Paul Walker, Ziyi Zhang, Billy Bob Thornton, Salma Hayek, Katie Holmes and last year's host, Lindsay Lohan. This year, the hosting honor goes to funnyman Jimmy Fallon.
Lohan's "Mean Girls" will go head-to-head with Will Ferrell's "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" at this year's show; both snagged a pack-leading four nominations (see [article id="1501233"]"Vicious Teens And Happy Drunk Lead MTV Movie Award Nominees"[/article]).
