Mandy Moore Finds New Entourage, Feels 'Beyond Elated' About Hitting The Studio

Singer/actress prepares to record next LP while juggling her many movie projects.

Last month, Wilmer Valderrama, Shannon Elizabeth, Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin all showed up in Tokyo to help Mandy Moore celebrate her 21st birthday after the Coach Play for Peace concert to benefit UNICEF. But now it looks like Moore has a new posse.

Well, on television, at least. The singer/actress will join Eric, Vince, Turtle and Johnny Drama for a guest appearance on HBO's second season of "Entourage," according to the channel. HBO would not divulge what exactly she'd be doing on the show, set to air sometime this summer. The new season of the show, which chronicles the male bonding of a group of Tinseltown players, kicks off on June 5.

After last week's filming of the episode, Moore, along with Brittany Murphy, spent Saturday at the 16th annual Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards. The two young starlets were at Hollywood's Kodak Theater to present the Vanguard Award to Liza Minnelli.

The rest of Moore's summer seems relatively open, at least until she starts gearing up to promote the John Turturro-helmed "Romance & Cigarettes" in August. James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, Kate Winslet, Steve Buscemi, Mary-Louise Parker and Christopher Walken also star in the film, a dark musical comedic love story.

Filming for her role in the romantic comedy "Personal Shopping" is not likely to start until next year, according to her rep, as the script, about a tourist who loses his luggage and hires a personal shopper, is not yet finished.

As for her next album, while it was originally thought to be coming out later this summer, Moore has yet to start recording any songs. "I've been taking meetings with some producers to begin recording for my first Sire/ Warner Bros. album," she wrote in the most recent post on her Web site. "I am beyond elated to get into the studio. Blank slate. No baggage. No history with anyone. PERFECT! I have been writing quite a bit lately and hope to hook up and collaborate with some great songwriters."

Moore is hoping to finish recording by fall in time for an early '06 release, according to the posting.
