Usher Puts Business Before Music, Dishes Out Love Advice

Singer will record a new LP at some point, but now his mind is on moneymaking.

We all know Usher as Mr. Entertainment, but these days he's gunning to become Mr. Entrepreneur as well.

The cover boy for the June issue of Essence said in the magazine that after his very successful year, he'll continue to pursue movie projects and, somewhere down the road, a new album — but for now, it's all business all the time.

"Something that you should know about me is that I'm a businessman before I'm anything else," Usher revealed. "Look at the capabilities of Martha Stewart or Russell Simmons or Sean 'Puffy' Combs or even 50 Cent with G-Unit. Look at what they did with their licensing. This is my opportunity to do the same. Clothing and shoes are kind of the standard nowadays, so I'm trying to figure out how I can come at it from a different angle. Watches, clothes, perfume, cologne, facial and acne products. There are so many possibilities."

Why not? With Diddy, Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson already shilling for Proactiv, pimples are the new Vote or Die.

In the interview, Usher dished about his romantic life a bit: "Every relationship I ever got into started off with 'You're the only one for me,' and then that male ego comes in." He also offered some pearls of wisdom about traditional courtship: "Treat that woman like a lady; don't treat her like a ho just because the music says so.

"Women," he continued, "treat yourselves like ladies. Don't move like that just because the music says so."

But when the talk turned to his time living with P. Diddy, Usher became surprisingly restrained. "I wanna save some sh-- for my book one day," he said. "I'll put it this way: There was a lot of sex."
