Black Eyed Peas Taking Their Monkey Business On The Road

North American summer tour will run from June 11 through August 13.

It may not be for their summer vacation, but the Black Eyed Peas will be spending the warmer months knee-deep in Monkey Business.

The hip-hop sensations will release their fourth album on June 7 and, just four days later, will hit the road in support of it. The tour kicks off June 11 at Atlanta's Music Midtown festival and wraps up August 13 with the Dave Matthews Band in San Francisco.

On Monkey Business, the Peas collaborate with everyone from Justin Timberlake to James Brown to Sting (see [article id="1500032"]"Black Eyed Peas Team Up Again With Timberlake For New LP"[/article]).

"We've always been all over the place," Will.I.Am said, "pulling real eclectic influences from music. We just love all forms of music, so this Monkey Business is like bossa nova to drum'n'bass to surf rock to hip-hop. Mad all over the place."

The album does have one running theme, though: a throwback to the '80s. "It's nostalgic," Fergie said. "You go back to songs that you experienced things with."

"But fuse it with other things," Will added.

For their first single, "Don't Phunk With My Heart" (see [article id="1498262"]"Black Eyed Peas Play The Dating Game In New Video"[/article]), "We fused Lisa Lisa with Bollywood and Miami bass," Will said. "So that's a whole new, different sound."
