Good Charlotte/ Simple Plan Tour To Start Two Days Early

Tour will conclude on June 5.

The first batch of dates on the Good Charlotte/Simple Plan Noise to the World Tour have been announced, and what better place for a band from Maryland and a band from Montreal to start things off than the international metropolis of, um … Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The co-headlining tour will start there on May 3 — two days earlier than had previously been reported (see “Good Charlotte, Simple Plan Launching Joint Tour In May” )— and continue through cities like Oklahoma City; Springfield, Missouri; and Columbus, Ohio, before swinging on over to the East Coast.

Tickets for the first few dates of the tour — which will hit a whole lot of North American cities before its final show on June 5 — went on sale via special Internet presales on both GoodCharlotte.com and SimplePlan.com

Good Charlotte wrap their European tour on Wednesday with a show in Dublin, Ireland, and just a few days later, they plan to film a video for “We Believe,” the third single from their platinum The Chronicles of Life and Death album. According to the band’s label, the clip is being filmed this weekend in Los Angeles with director Sam Erickson at the helm. Erickson also lensed the video for GC’s “The Young and the Hopeless.”

Simple Plan are also finishing up an overseas tour this week — with a date Thursday in Manila, Philippines — and then they’ll also be heading back to L.A., but not to shoot a new video. Instead, they’ll be spending the weekend entertaining millions of screaming pre-teens (which really isn’t all that different from what they’re doing now) as a performer at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, which will be broadcast live from Hollywood on April 2.
